THE FOUNDATION
In consequence of Zero Gravity Exhibition’s success and Franco Albini’s Archive’s
declaration of Hystorical patrimony, Franco Albini foundation has been constituted in
order to divulge and turn his work to better account. In order to initiate its activity and
to maintain the prestige of the architect’s work, Franco Albini Foundation has obtained
the collaboration and contribution of the following Partner:
- University of Politecnico di Milano that the architect was first student and later
teacher - Regione Lombardia
- Ministery of Italian Culture
- Accenture
The first target of the foundation is:
The digitalization and networking of the Franco Albini’s archive, in order to make it available to scholars, researchers, cultural institutions, universities etc. In collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano is currently redrafting the storage and cataloguing of archival
Promoting exhibitions of art and architecture in Italy and abroad.
Disclose the exhibition on Franco Albini in major International museums
Realization of events about Design Creating networks with the great masters of architecture’s archive and designers of the same period of Albini Making publications on trends of architecture, design etc.
Making Video – documentaries and conferences on various topics related to
architecture and society
The foundation aims to create synergies among different artists in order to let them interpret and develop, in a mixed working group, the themes proposed from time to time by the Scientific Committee.
