The great innovators were first of all “people”, with their own history, propensity and sensitivity.
Attending the characters of the Modern, understanding the origins of their attitude and the meaning of their responses to the needs of their time, is of great importance to bring these models closer to the new generations.
To do this we use the theater. We tell stories that emotionally involve and leave a mark, for those who want to grasp it, to be relaunched in the world.

An experience of innovation

“La via del Talento” is an innovative project created by the Franco Albini Foundation, which takes the name of “Coaching Performance”.
It is an interdisciplinary experience / show that puts theatrical language, coaching techniques and music in dialogue, aimed at involving the public and making it the protagonist of an experience of collective growth.

To facilitate the opening to a vision towards innovation, we start from the Method of the Masters of Design and Modern Architecture as inspirers of a path of investigation of their talents and the potential of a cohesive team.
An experience dedicated to small or large groups alike, to schools, universities and companies.

Men and values of the modern movement.

Conceived, written and directed by Paola Albini, “The Courage of one’s time. Men and values of the Modern Movement ”is the story of the values underlying the
birth of the Modern Movement and at the origin of Design.
An overview of Italy between the two wars and the intellectuals of the time.
Integrated in the writings of Albini, Pagano, Persico, BBPR, Ponti, Palanti, Gardella, Giolli and many others.
The texts are accompanied by videos and vintage photographs: to illustrate the political and cultural climate in the years of Fascism.
It is the story of Rationalism in Italy, the central role of the city of Milan and the life of men who fought against a totalitarian regime in order to found a movement of social redemption, sometimes paying with their own lives, choices of autonomy and of freedom.
Recited by Enrico Ballardini, the word is intertwined with the song: Gaber, Jannacci, Strehler, Silvestri and music performed and composed ad hoc by Maestro Alessandro Nidi.
Already hosted in numerous Italian and foreign cities, “Il Coraggio del Proprio Tempo” continues its tour!

Franca Helg, “The grand dame of architecture”

“… the woman must obey! She is foreign to architecture: ..”, so Mussolini proclaimed in the 1930s.
Franca Helg is a woman who proved the opposite.
Written and directed by Paola Albini, “The colors of reason”, is a theatrical piece dedicated to the great dame of architecture.
Franca Helg represents a very interesting figure, a great example of emancipation that has made its way into a world of male dominance,
participating in many of the most successful projects of the Albini studio that have made Milan great and have established themselves internationally.
In an era that imposed procreation as a primary duty on women, Franca Helg is a mother in another way. It is of his students, it is of his commitment
it is of his projects which he ‘held on his lap like children’.
A moving story, an example of courage, grace and determination to suggest that everyone, regardless of gender differences, can and must pursue their propensities to make their mark on the world.

Alice Miller’s revolutionary thinking on the origins of violence.

Alice Miller is not an architect. She is a psychologist, sociologist and philosopher who has revolutionized the dominant thought in terms of “education” and personal growth. A woman who freed herself through creative expression and who, like Franca Helg, broke the mold of her time. Alice Miller is an example of courage and determination, qualities that led her to elaborate a truth that, even today, forms the basis for the healthy development of an individual and a society.

With the Franco Albini Academy we work to prepare the new and old generations to manage the epochal change that the Company is asking of us, both in professional and personal terms, and to guide the enhancement of talents and the ability to reinvent themselves and generate innovation.

For this reason, the Foundation today promotes messages such as that of Alice Miller, capable of moving necessary reflections. “The cost of a good education” is a necessary story from which to start in order to provide educators in general with effective tools for their mission and to contribute from the very beginning to the development of the potential of each individual.
