LABORATORIES AND GUIDED TOURS FOR KIDS

The laboratories and the guided tours at the Franco Albini Foundation guide children to approach Design by following the rigorous Method of the great architect: scomposition and segmentation, constant verification of an initial idea, attention to detail and sense of belonging to society. What does designing and creating something that wasn’t there before mean? We’ll help children develop creative thought, basing it on the designer’s model, steering to identify one’s objectives, explore opportunities, come up with solutions and improve them through time. We’ll reflect on the importance of removing what’s unnecessary and lastly we’ll teach social responsibility elaborating projects in co-creation that can be useful to others.

SEGMENTATION

From fear to courage

Segmenting in pieces is one of the fundamental principles of Albini’s work and a useful concept in order to face problems, projects and… fears.

This laboratory is meant to help kids create a courage amulet, which could become a beneficial tool for overcoming their worries.

ESSENCE

The project of yourself

RECOMPOSITION

The talent lies in doing

Starting off from the recognition of their personal strengths, we ask kids to recompose them in the project of their dream work. In order to help children discover their “superpowers”, the group will be our first resource. Then? We’ll travel to the emerging future, finding out how to use their talents and recompose them in a creative way.

THE CICOGNINO STORYTELLING

Guided tours for children

The Franco Albini Foundation opens the doors of its headquarters, a place of innovation and cradle of architecture and design, to elementary and middle school aged children with an innovative project that will put young children in touch with the world of Design. The Cicognino table becomes a character who guides children throughout a journey to the discovery of Franco Albini’s world and the ideas at the origins of his works. A journey from 1930 to the present in which children, with a magical suitcase, become active participants taking part both in the story and the connected educational games.
